Europos Parkas becomes more accessible

This autumn, Europos Parkas announces good news for schoolchildren and pensioners of Vilnius city. The museum started implementing the project Increasing Access to Europos Parkas and Development of Collection supported by Vilnius City Municipality. Under this Project, groups of schoolchildren of Vilnius City and pensioners residing in Vilnius will be able to visit Europos Parkas for free the whole year.

„Now, we are proud of cultural monuments created from durable materials many years ago; therefore, in the modern world, the State should pay more attention not to a day’s campaigns, but to building of the artworks possessing a cultural value in Lithuania“, says Gintaras Karosas, founder and president of Europos Parkas.

Improving access to cultural and educational services for wider public, an everyday concern of every museum, is extremely important to Europos Parkas which earns from the income received for the museum visiting and the services provided to the visitors.

The museum will invite schoolchildren of Vilnius to attend educational trainings under the program prepared following the experience and recommendations of the most advanced European museums of modern art. Training at a museum is unique due to the fact that it provides a real possibility to touch the cultural property and gain authentic experience.

The purpose of this project is to encourage the cultural activities of Vilnius people. The museum combining the modern art and nature is a source of inspiration and creativity for people of different age, which satisfies the needs for lifelong learning, self-expression, and recreation. The museum, by making the cultural tourism more active, also gives an economic benefit to Vilnius city.

Europos Parkas is one of the objects representing Lithuania. The museum exhibits over 100 sculptures created by artists from more than 30 countries.
